FRAUD, MANIA & EUPHORIA ON WALL STREET
There were very high expectations heading into this marquee conversation between billionaire short seller Jim Chanos and Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough—all of which were exceeded. Chanos, the founder of Kynikos Associates, covered a ton of ground. Regarding current market froth, he believes, “Things are getting sillier and sillier and sillier.”
When it comes to the current polarizing economic/political climate he said, “There’s a system for the corporate class and financial class. And then there’s a system for everybody else. It gets back to the tail risk. Torches and pitchforks are undervalued.”
Trust us—this conversation is not to be missed.
BUCKLE UP! THE WILD ROAD AHEAD FOR FINANCIAL MARKETS
The grand finale of this Hedgeye Investing Summit belonged to outspoken hedge fund manager Mike Taylor. A former virologist himself, he offered a ton of useful insight on Covid19, vaccines, and what it all means for investors going forward. "We have 5 vaccines that will readout by January,” he told Keith McCullough. “I think that the vaccines are going to be very successful. That’s going to change everything."
He added “the trade from there is long garbage. Garbage meaning Carnival Cruise Lines (CCL), Dave & Busters (PLAY), Cheesecake Factory (CAKE), Gaming, Leisure and Hotels.”
Here’s a promise. You will not get this level of investing insight anywhere else. Particularly for free. That’s a fact.
Watch and enjoy.
TROUBLE AHEAD: WHAT'S REALLY HAPPENING INSIDE THE FED
If you took an informal poll of our investing audience, asking them to name their favorite HedgeyeTV market guest, there’s a good chance a significant portion would say Danielle DiMartino Booth. And for good reason. Her deep-dive conversation with Keith McCullough on the Powell Fed, fiscal and monetary stimulus measures, growing economic dislocations and various market implications was overflowing with investable insight.
Get your pen and paper out for this one—you’re going to want to take some notes.
FEAR AND GREED: A SOBER INVESTOR'S GUIDE TO MARKET RISK
If you’ve been watching HedgeyeTV since we started, you know Charles Schwab’s Chief Investment Strategist Liz Ann Sonders is one of our all-time favorite sources of intelligent and investable market analysis. No surprise—she delivered the goods yet again during this in-depth conversation with Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough.
Bottom line—if you’re looking for some of the sharpest investing insight available, look no further. This one checks all the boxes.
THE GREAT GOLD BULL MARKET: WHAT COMES NEXT?
Two of the smartest people in the room when it comes to precious metals, energy and related market matters joined us during our second conversation today—both of them Goldman Sachs alums who left the white-shoe Wall Street firm for greener pastures. Serial entrepreneur Josh Crumb who is the Founder/CEO of Abaxx Technologies joined forces with Goldmoney Director Stefan Wieler in an incredibly thoughtful investing tour de force hosted by Keith McCullough.
THE INTELLIGENT INVESTOR'S GUIDE TO SHORT SELLING
Run—don’t walk to watch this insanely entertaining and enlightening investing conversation featuring the outspoken, fraud-sniffing, Muddy Waters Founder Carson Block. If you didn’t already know, Carson is one of the world's foremost short sellers. In a nutshell, this is a fascinating, behind-the-scenes, no-punches-pulled conversation on the often crazy business of investing.
P.S. Put the earmuffs on the kids, there is some profanity.
BUILDING YOUR OWN 'ANTI-BUBBLE' PORTFOLIO
"Hedgeye Nation" has apparently found a new favorite investing guest, and his name is Diego Parrilla. Viewer feedback from his conversation with Keith McCullough is off the charts. The macro-focused, Madrid-based portfolio manager offered viewers an illuminating inside look at how he approaches constructing a successful portfolio.
PRO-TO-PRO: A MACRO INVESTING MASTERCLASS
This highly anticipated investing conversation between our friend, Real Vision Founder Raoul Pal and Keith McCullough didn’t disappoint. There were fireworks right out of the gate, with a quizzical Keith asking Raoul a humorous question about bitcoin bulls.
Their ensuing deep-dive discussion covered a ton of ground, exploring myriad big risks and opportunities currently facing investors including the direction of the US Dollar, Gold, bonds and volatility in equity markets.
CRISIS, COLLAPSE & CONFLICT: A WORLD AT THE CROSSROADS
Two giants joined Keith McCullough in this sobering discussion on America’s (worsening) fiscal reality. Our own world-renowned demographer Neil Howe tackled one of the biggest elephants in the room with veteran financial guru John Mauldin. "We’re in a debt trap,” cautioned Mauldin. “That's when debt gets so large, it slows down growth. The policy response involves borrowing more money and you get a short-term boost. But you’ve increased debt, so growth falls even more."
