WEEKLY POSITION MONITOR UPDATE
In order to give subscribers a break from the COVID- related narratives that have been riddled throughout 2Q20 earnings, we presented our 10x Genomics Black Book yesterday. We believe the relative stability and predictability of their product story is a good place to be, and one that can generate upside of 30-50% over the coming 6 to 12 months.
On Monday’s Health Care Webcast, we will cover:
- TXG Field Notes, Grant Tracker | We added TXG to our Best Idea Longs and presented the Black Book this week. On Monday, we will have Field Notes from a conversation with the head of a major academic research lab and our first Grant Tracker update.
- EXAS Volumes, Cologuard Outlook | Beat lowered 2Q20 expectations similar to everyone else in our space. Management emphasized that volumes had recovered to pre-COVID levels, following the same narrative as many other shorts since March.
- TDOC Beat & Raise | Posted a huge beat and raise for 2Q20 reassuring the world that telemedicine is not going anywhere. TDOC is priced like it is the only telemedicine company out there, but as we are seeing from every corner of the Medical Economy, challengers are coming. Despite enhanced competition that could provide some headwinds in 2H20, we are sticking with the long.
- Post-COVID Outlook | There seems to be no shortage of companies that beat 2Q20 expectations, albeit against lowered expectations. Despite these results, not everyone sounded bullish about July on the margin. Looking into 2H20, the Fundamental Quad set-up may not be as easy.
