The US Dollar fell to a three-year low on Wednesday and registered its steepest slide since March after Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said “a weaker dollar is good” for U.S. trade. Adding to the confusion, in an interview earlier today, President Trump said Mnuchin's comments were "taken out of context... the Dollar is going to get stronger and stronger and ultimately I want to see a strong dollar."
The greenback is down over 10% in the past year and is off about 2% this week.
