Once Chairman Jeb Hensarling completes this week’s mark-up, we will host a flash call tomorrow with the latest updates and prospects for passage in the House as well as a potential uphill battle for Chairman Hensarling's effort in the Senate. Given their opposition to the legislation, Democrats on the Committee are using procedural methods (including a full reading of the 500 page bill) to delay the measure as much as possible.

During his service on Capitol Hill, Drew served on the senior staff of the Senate Republican Conference for more than four years, serving two Conference Chairs – former Senators Connie Mack (R-FL) and Rick Santorum (R-PA). Prior to joining the firm, Drew was Vice President and Director of Federal Affairs for the American Insurance Association (AIA). In that capacity, he worked with AIA’s top management and member companies on priority issues such as Optional Federal Charter legislation, Terrorism Risk Insurance and matters pertaining to credit-based insurance scoring.
