This morning on our Retail team's takeover of The Macro Show, analyst Brian McGough spotlighted the extraordinary volatility rocking the retail sector this earnings season.

"The earnings vol is higher than it has ever been, and it isn't even close," said McGough.

Nearly 40% of retail companies reporting earnings are experiencing stock moves greater than 10% on the print. "That's a crazy number," added McGough.

"The percent of tickers moving less than 2% is at all-time lows. The 15% moves are at all-time highs, or at least all-time since the GFC."
