Today's Chart of the Day from Managing Director Josh Steiner shows Long-Term US Interest Expense VS Defense Spending as a result of skyrocketing national debt.

The current US Debt level is $34.8T.

Defense spending is set to be DWARFED by the net interest expense for unsustainable US Debt.

The CBO projects that by 2054, Net Interest Expense will be 285% of Defense Spending. This is a best case scenario.

If we continue on this current path, the future looks bleak.
