Unlike many political pundits, Paul Glenchur and JT Taylor aren’t dismissing the potential implications of this Thursday’s arguments against Donald Trump in the U.S. Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on whether former President Donald Trump, the front runner for the Republican nomination for president, can be excluded from the ballot because of his role in the January 6 attacks on the U.S. Capitol.

***Hedgeye’s policy experts will break down the landmark case during a webcast at 11:00am ET Tuesday, which we’re opening up for free to all viewers.

“People should pay attention because the Supreme Court is either an iceberg the USS Trump Titanic is going to go right past or it’s going to hit it,” Glenchur explains in this clip from The Call @ Hedgeye. “One or the other, there are massive consequences.”

“Why wouldn’t it hit it?” asks Keith McCullough. “Why wouldn’t they do this? This is perfect timing for it to be a not-surprise to us. This would not surprise me at all. Would it surprise you? The probability isn’t 80 percent, but it’s not like zero.”

“No, definitely not,” Glenchur responds. “This is going to be a fascinating case to watch. A history lesson, I would think schools across the country might be tuning in to listen to this one.”

“The argument is 10:00am ET Thursday morning. We’re going to run though the impacts, the legal issues, the political considerations and probably make a bet where we think this thing lands.”
