A long term theme for health care is going to be consolidation. The American system is so vast, so expensive but above all, built for a generation that now has people asking if age limits should be placed on U.S. Senators.
As demographics and policy work their magic, it will be helpful to understand just what exactly the Federal Trade Commission can (should?) do. Of late the focus has been on technology mergers but health care's turn in the barrel suggest we start thinking about this important topic. There is no better a person to talk us through the current state of anti-trust than our own Paul Glenchur.
