Are you sitting down? The restaurant industry just served up its worst jobs report in over two years. 

With a net loss of 800 jobs in June, the industry ended the second quarter with a total of 27,000 net jobs, the weakest quarter since 2020. 

"I've always said, ‘Follow the jobs data,’ and we've just ended 29 consecutive months of job gains for the industry,” explains Howard Penney in this clip from The Call @ Hedgeye. “When you’re net losing jobs, it's a problem, and I would suspect sales will continue to slow down from here.”
