ChatGPT and Bing app downloads have slowed in recent weeks. It remains to be seen whether this is a seasonal blip or a larger-scale deceleration, but Ami Joseph and Keith McCullough see plenty of reason to pump the brakes on the AI hype train.

“If I were on the board of a company, I’d say we need to understand how this is going to change our services,” explains Hedgeye’s Tech analyst in this clip from The Call @ Hedgeye. “I don’t know in this environment if I’m going to drop everything and put billions of dollars at play if I don’t know that I’ll get ROI on that in the next three years.”

McCullough said from his experience, AI chatbots haven’t yet achieved a level of accuracy that makes them a reliable option for the masses.

“You’re going to lose a lot of people the minute that [Chatbots] say something that is patently false, because people obviously don’t trust anyone anyway in this day and age,” adds Hedgeye’s CEO.
