The company has been rapidly expanding its drive-thru shops, which sell a selection of espresso-based beverages, energy and other drinks.

QSR

This was a funny headline. A company with a name normally associated with MCD, "McWin" is opening Burger Kings.

McWin enters into Master Franchise and Development Agreements to develop Burger King in the Czech Republic, Poland & Romania, and Popeyes in Czech Republic & Poland, as part of a Europe expansion. New restaurants are expected to open in 2023. That said, the company is trying to accelerate growth, and it made no bones about why it hired Patrick Doyle; It is not satisfied with its overall growth rate thus far.

USFD

Distribution giant US Foods has tapped Dave Flitman, the former leader of arch-rival Performance Foodservice, as its new CEO. Flitman, who left Performance in 2018 after a three-year run, will assume the top job at US Foods on Jan. 5. He is currently CEO and president of Builders FirstSource, a building-supplies vendor with annual revenues of about $23 billion, according to US Foods. Flitman will succeed Andrew Iacobucci, who has been fulfilling the CEO’s duties at US Foods on an interim basis since May, when the company parted ways with Ex CEO Pietro Satriano.
