Interstate Commerce Is Already Happening.

Many citizens in states where cannabis is illegal to sell like in Tennessee and Missouri are already crossing state lines into states like Illinois to legally purchase cannabis. “There are stores on the border. I’m going to say, over 50 percent of their business is from folks from Tennessee,” Trent Woloveck said (Jushi Holdings Cheif Commercial Director). “People are naive to think cannabis isn’t in their community,” Woloveck said. “So, the question is, ‘Do you want it to be safe consumption or unsafe consumption?’ And that’s really what it comes down to.” We have been writing a lot recently about the interstate commerce laws in New Jersey and California, but tid bits like this show that cannabis is already flowing across state lines and that all states who continue to keep cannabis as an illegal drug are doing is making it more difficult and less safe for their citizens to get their hands on cannabis but are not stopping the actual consumption of it.

Cannabis in Alcohol.

We have seen many large alcohol companies dabble in the cannabis drinks category in the past few years, but this morning Tilray Brands (TLRY) said its subsidiary SweetWater Brewing Company, LLC has unveiled its fall craft-beer line-up. The line-up includes SweetWater's new H.A.Z.Y. Double IPA and the return of its Mosaic Single Hop Hazy IPA. In addition, SweetWater's IPA variety 12-pack will also include H.A.Z.Y. IPA and SweetWater IPA. The company said that SweetWater's fall line-up of craft beers will be available in select markets across the U.S., including Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia beginning Oct. 3.
