Takeaway: Join us Thursday as we run through the condition and prognosis of the US Medical Economy; employment, inflation, policy & the insurance wars

The picture is mixed. Providers heavily dependent on Medicare continue to see policy and reimbursement headwinds. For them, DVA is the canary in the coal mine. The dialysis business has become so fragile, all it took was a SCOTUS decision on commercial plan design to send the stock price - after billions in buybacks - down almost 15%. The worst is not likely to be over.

Others, with a more balanced mix of revenue streams appear to be functioning normally. #Quad4 and a recession likely is still not cutting loose enough low wage/low skill workers to matter. Access, the federal government's primary concern, is showing its limits. Mortality, a good indicator of overall health, suggests demand is high but supply limited.

We will run through all the numbers as we tee it up for 2Q earnings.
