Our History

We began this journey back in 2008, when the first gales of the ensuing global financial crisis began to blow. It was during this critical time, when bullish exuberance on Wall Street was still palpable, that Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough made our first big call (of many) to go to cash ahead of an historical selloff.

As an esteemed historian once wrote, “The challenge of history is to recover the past and introduce it to the present.” It is in this spirit that we highlight below some of the most significant milestones since we first set out to completely revolutionize the way Wall Street research is done. After all, how can you know where you're going, if you don't know where you've been?
