On Monday’s Hedgeye House Call, we will cover:
- Multiple Speaker Call Recaps | This past week, we hosted two calls covering a range of topics. The former was a discussion and Q&A with Dr. Jamie Rutland, CEO and Medical Director at Rutland Medical Group/West Coast Lung. The latter was a Q&A with Dr. Sharat Kusuma, CMO & SVP at privately- held Exactech, a developer and producer of implants, instrumentation, and smart technologies for joint replacement surgery that acquired Muvr Labs in 4Q20. Next week, we will review key slides from each call and discuss the key takeaways to be mindful of.
- COVID Variants v Pent- Up Demand | From the data we are tracking, COVID variants look to be taking a toll in a number of Midwestern and Northeastern U.S. states such as Michigan and Pennsylvania. From the look of it, #TeamVaccine is losing the footrace at the moment which could pose a headwind to our pent- up demand thesis should it continue. On Monday, we will update the COVID data we are tracking and describe the push- and- pull between COVID and re- opening.
- Weekly MQ Update – Early Look | In Tom’s Early Look this morning, he discussed the general unfavorable set- up for the Health Care sector in a #Quad2 environment. Fortunately, the MicroQuads provide us with a unique screening tool which can still effectively highlight both longs and shorts regardless of the Macro Quad. On this week’s call, we will update the normal outputs and seek to help set- up within the #Quad2 landscape.
