Gage Cannabis

Reuters reports that U.S.-based Gage Cannabis Co, led by veteran marijuana industry executive Bruce Linton, is pursuing a direct listing on the Canadian Securities Exchange. Linton joined Gage as executive chairman in 2019, months after being ousted from CGC.  Gage is currently operating 12 locations in Michigan.

Connecticut up next (CURA)

With New York looking like it will be the next state to approve adult-use marijuana use, the industry is turning its eyes towards Connecticut (our home state). The Connecticut House labor committee passed HB 6377 yesterday. The bill is slightly different than the governor's version in that it allows up to six plants to be grown at home. The bill emphasizes social equity. With New Jersey and Massachusetts legalizing adult-use, it only seems inevitable that Connecticut would look to legalize after New York. Curaleaf has four medical dispensaries in the state and would be a key beneficiary of legalization.
