On Monday’s Hedgeye House Call, we will cover:
- AMWL – Best Idea Short Black Book Recap | After an impressive improvement in vaccine distribution logistics, we recently surpassed 100MM doses of SARS-CoV-2 vaccine distributed and according to trend, are set to surpass the threshold of 100MM doses administered by mid – April 2021. As we analyze the new market dynamics, we are beginning to recognize the need to re- position for “life after COVID.” On this week’s Hedgeye House Call, we will recap the first change to our position monitor resulting from that analysis.
- Replay of GIX’s Management Appearance | Given the spotlight on digital health over the past year, we have been heavily focused on the outlook for telehealth, remote patient monitoring (RPM), digital therapeutics, and determining which solutions are necessities vs. “nice to have.” In combination with that effort, we hosted a Q&A with the senior leadership of UpHealth ($GIX). GigCapital2 is bringing UpHealth and Cloudbreak together to create a one-stop-shop for providers to meet a variety of needs, ranging from interpretation and telehealth coverage to population health and Rx. On Monday, we will recap the key takeaways from the call.
- COVID-19 Variant Breakout in Michigan | In addition to our weekly MicroQuad update, we will also be sharing our work on the vaccination and case trends we have been following over the past few months. Generally, we are winning the “footrace” between vaccinations and further spread as mobility picks up. However, Michigan stands out as a potential concern and should be a reminder that we aren't out of the woods, yet. We plan to share our preliminary work and implications concerning that breakout, as well as some additional information on the variants.
