WEEKLY POSITION MONITOR UPDATE

On Monday’s Health Care Webcast, we will cover:

  • Vaccine Development & Distribution | Early reports show that administration of the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine to the first phase of targeted recipients has been a slower rollout than originally expected despite focused efforts and planning. Our sense is that by restricting access to certain groups first, deployment may be occurring more slowly overall. These efforts are further obscured by the holiday season, heightened difficulty to administer, and improving logistics. So far, the CDC data suggests a runway to 100MM doses administered by mid-April 2021, but like anything else these days, that could change quickly. On Monday, we will discuss the progress thus far, potential targets, and ramifications.
  • ADP, BLS | HC Labor Demand Preview | With >$500MM piling up to flow into the U.S. Medical Economy and multiple tailwinds driving Health Care investing into the mainstream, there are more reasons than ever to map and measure the ADP Employment release next week, and subsequent BLS Releases. These reports provide invaluable data on just where the industry industry stands (i.e., where labor is or isn't in demand). We will highlight the most recent releases and preview what we think is coming.
  • Weekly MQ Update | What’s Priced In? | For now, “all the macro trends are pushing health care like rocket fuel," but as we demonstrated on last week’s MicroQuad Presentation, the question remains whether these factors are “priced in” to estimates. We believe the answer to that question will become clearer during presentations in early January and at the JP Morgan Conference beginning on Monday, January 11. Utilizing this week’s MicroQuad Update, we will attempt to help position you on the right side of estimate trends/revisions (positive or negative).
