On Thursday, September 10, at 11AM ET, we will be hosting a call with Jonathon Maze, the Editor-in-Chief of Restaurant Business Magazine. Over the past few years, we have held several calls with Jonathon, and his views on the industry are enlightening.
As Editor-in-Chief of Restaurant Business, Mr. Maze sits on the front line of everything restaurant and has some of the best contacts across the industry. A testimony to his knowledge of the industry and all things restaurant, the National Operators Association (the McDonald’s franchise organization) has selected Mr. Maze to be a guest speaker at their next meeting.
Some of the topics to be discussed:
- What is the current state of the restaurant industry?
- The Independent restaurant association says 75% of independent restaurants may have to close, and the CEO of Sysco sees a very different story. Who will be right?
- Chowley estimates there are 100,000 virtual brands. Can they all survive? What does it mean for the big brands?
- Can a virtual brand live in an established brand?
- Are casual dining kitchens underutilized?
- What is his take on GRUB selling out?
- Where his thoughts are on the NOA after speaking to the organization?
We also are taking live questions during the call, so be prepared for any questions you may have.
