Editor's Note: Investing can be stressful business. So we're grateful to have our cartoonist Bob Rich on board our team to help us laugh and keep things in perspective. No matter the investing climate ... "bullish or bearish" ... "hawkish or dovish" ... Bob always finds the elephant in the room and makes us smile. Below is a profile piece on him from the Stamford Advocate.
When Bob Rich left his last job as a newspaper cartoonist in late 2013, he was not counting on getting another staff position in a fast-shrinking profession.
But almost four years later, he is not only working full-time but amassing a growing audience for a prolific and provocative body of work. As the in-house cartoonist for Stamford investment research and financial-media company Hedgeye, Rich opines on major financial and economic issues. He has embraced the challenge of the role, and his colleagues said they relish the perspective he brings to their work.
“One of the things I really like working about here is there is a really strong team spirit,” Rich said in an interview last week at the Hedgeye headquarters in the High Ridge Park office complex. “Everybody works really well together. It’s a very strong collaborative environment. I really have a feeling that I belong to a team.”
