We hope you can join us for a call today (November 21st at 11:00 a.m.) with our Energy Policy Team to set investor expectations ahead of a highly anticipated OPEC meeting on November 30th in Vienna. Our Energy Policy Team consists of Former Secretary of Energy, Spencer Abraham and Senior Policy analyst Joe McMonigle, former Vice Chairman of the Paris-based International Energy Agency. Joe also served as Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Energy.

The team’s experience and extensive network provide perpetual intelligence on the inter-workings of the most powerful petro-states. Having just returned from meetings with officials in Saudi Arabia, the call will detail what kind of rhetoric to expect from various member countries.

The stage has been set for a new quota ceiling coming out of the September Algiers Meeting, and we will outline reasons to be skeptical that a deal does in fact get done. With Iran and Iraq appearing to be large impediments to a potential deal, the most optimistic Saudi official put the chance of a deal at 50%. There is also a tremendous amount of interest among OPEC officials with regard to Donald Trump’s potential impact on energy policy and geopolitics. We hosted a call last Friday, “Expectations Under a Trump Regime” which may be a good primer for Monday’s call. CLICK HERE  for access to the audio replay.

As mentioned, there will be slides associated with the call. We welcome any policy-related questions to  either during or in advance of the call. Dial-in information and a link to the live video stream is included below:
