Hedgeye Energy analyst Fernando Valle and Director of Research Daryl Jones discussed Valle’s prescient call on Long Exxon Mobil (XOM) vs Short (BP) this morning on The Macro Show.
“Exxon Mobil is outperforming the group,” said Valle. “BP, which is our ‘Best Idea’ Short on the big oil side, has been the laggard since we made the call.”
This was Valle’s first big call since joining our analyst team back in March. XOM is +14.3% while BP is -0.4% year to date.
