U.S. Cannabis Sales
In May, we estimate that cannabis sales in the U.S. will be down 2.1% sequentially and down 0.2% YoY. These numbers came in better then expected with the seasonality patterns of March and April being some of the biggest months of the year. Units for the month decreased 2.5% sequentially and are growing in the mid-teens on a YoY basis. The good news is that 75% of the states saw positive pricing. We estimate that 2Q23 sales will be up over 3% sequentially and up over 0.5% YoY.
