MCD's New Chief Development officer
Chipotle’s Chief Development Officer Tabassum Zalotrawala landed at MCD. How many units will MCD build in the USA over the next five years?
The Chicago-based fast-food chain on Wednesday announced Zalotrawala had been named senior vice president and U.S. chief development officer, effective April 24. She will relocate to Chicago with her family and will report to McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger. In a letter to the U.S. system, Erlinger said the position had been elevated to the U.S. senior leadership team as the chain prioritizes development with an “Accelerating the Arches” strategy, first outlined in 2020.

A new low for food at home as a % of the total with down 20bps from January to 47.5%. Restaurant menu prices are up 8.4% yoy. Full-service restaurants up 8% in February. Limited service is up 7.2%. Food at home prices is up 10.2%.
