At 12:30 pm today, we will be hosting our monthly cannabis Q&A + Industry trends call where we will go through state-level sales as well as other trends we are seeing in the industry. This was an interesting earnings period for the cannabis names and we recently removed AYRWF, TLLTF, TRSSF, and CNTMF from the long list. We will go into detail why we made these moves and what we are seeing from the remainder of the long names.

More many years, companies have been filing patents in the cannabis world mostly around vaporized technology but on August 4th we saw an interesting patent come through....IT RELATES TO CANNABIS FLAVORS. We all know all too well what a FAB flavored nicotine products are with many states banning them. It sounds like the tobacco giant Altria is taking a similar strategy by filing terpenes patents to try and express flavor in their cannabis plants, "“Terpenoid levels in plants such as tobacco and Cannabis can be enhanced and modified by targeted manipulation of gene expression of genes in terpene biosynthetic pathways in order to improve flavor and aroma characteristics of downstream plant-based products,” the application reads.
