After predicting Friday’s news of Elon Musk attempting to back out of his deal with Twitter, Hedgeye Communications analyst Andrew Freedman continues to dig into the impending court case alongside Hedgeye Legal analyst Paul Glenchur.

“Now the fun part begins,” jokes Freedman. “Twitter (TWTR) is expected to file a lawsuit this week. We’ll probably get some type of resolution on this by the fall. My feeling here is that Elon has buyer’s remorse. The best case for Elon is that he has to pay some type of break-up fee.”

“My question is, ‘What happens if Elon Musk loses this and they say, you’ve got to do it,’” Glenchur adds. “Is it just too big to put it all on the line and expect the court to enforce that? We’ll see.”
