Expanding the market in PENNSYLVANIA?

With NJ going recreational in May (supposedly), PA will not be far behind, but discounting/pricing in PA will persist for the foreseeable future.  

Last week, Pennsylvania announced key changes in its medical marijuana program that aim to ease accessibility and affordability for patients. The Department of Health of said that new services are available through Act 44, passed in 2021, which eliminates identification card fees and background check fees for eligible patients and caregivers, among other benefits. Both patients and caregivers in medical marijuana programs can register with the state's financial hardship program to receive the benefits. The state has registered more than 729,000 patients and caregivers for its medical marijuana program. There are 157 active dispensaries licenses statewide, in addition to 33 growers operating within the state.

In February 2022 Adult-Use YoY accelerated from 32.0% to 41.2% YoY; ASP rebounded.

People in Illinois can currently lose their job if they test positive for cannabis, even though the drug is legal in the state. A House Democrat hopes to pass a plan this week to add protections for workers who use legal products during their free time. WFIR.COM
