Takeaway: A live Q&A with the Founder & CEO of Wildflower Health, Leah Sparks...

Overview

Watch the replay below of our December 9 discussion with Leah Sparks, Founder & CEO of Wildflower Health, which has focused primarily on women's health (pregnancy and family care) since 2012, helping carriers and providers implement digital, clinically integrated solutions that allow for a move toward value-based models.  Wildflower recently launched remote monitoring and virtual clinical services, as well as digital patient intake/data exchange with providers & payers and value-based contracts to help providers in Medicaid and commercial plans succeed in value-based care programs (e.g., a new value-based OB solution).  We were introduced to Leah and her team earlier in 2021 during our field work on the evolution of primary and value-based care, telehealth, and remote monitoring - i.e., whether One Medical's model appeals to employers and consumers, and if Teladoc could evolve - and it was a pleasure to hear her current thoughts.  We found Leah's ability to deconstruct the move to value, potential savings, and the importance of focusing on specialty workflows and clinical pathways enlightening: “It’s not just money, it’s not just provider satisfaction, it’s really understanding workflow and making sure that everything we’re doing makes it easier for providers…”  After all, a health plan won't have 100% of a provider's volume, and health care isn't a one-size-fits-all business (part of why we think the hybrid model will win out).  We'll be watching what companies like Wildflower do in 2022 as "legacy" providers evolve.
