The Main St. Media is having a field day with Omicron: NY Breaks Its Daily Case Record Again as State Opens Dozens of New Vaccine Sites (NBC). At the height of the pandemic, there were 1,600 patients being treated at city hospitals for COVID-19, on average. In Dec. 2020, there were just 243; As of Monday, NYC hospitalizations were at just 43 - a 97% decrease from the pandemic peak.
"The omicron symptoms have been very mild. The impact on those vaccinated has been clinically mild. It's not converting to admissions to the hospital, or deaths," said Dr. Yves Derouseu, Emergency Services Director at Lenox Hill Hospital."

Our primary concern is the labor/staffing side of things because it's reasonably clear to us that the Health Care workforce may take longer to recover than people believe (positive for AMN, CCRN, and LFST, and negative for ACHC, UHS, and anyone with less flexibility).
