Takeaway: Starts shortly - please join us for a live Q&A with the Founder & CEO of Wildflower Health...

Overview

We're excited to have Leah Sparks, Founder & CEO of Wildflower Health, join us in the studio for a discussion about the evolution of SaaS- and value-based models in the US Medical Economy.  Wildflower, which was founded in 2012 and has focused primarily on women's health (pregnancy and family care), has been helping carriers and providers implement digital, clinically integrated solutions and move toward value since 2012.  Having recently launched remote monitoring and virtual clinical services, as well as digital patient intake/data exchange with providers & payers and value-based contracts to help providers in Medicaid and commercial plans succeed in value-based care programs (e.g., a new value-based OB solution), Leah and Health Care Sector Head Tom Tobin will have plenty to talk about.

We're looking forward to hearing about Wildflower's model and what resonates with each of the end markets, as well as what actually helps bring down or at least control costs.  Wildflower initially came up during our field work on value-based care and remote monitoring earlier this year, and we continue to track demand for services like what it offers to "legacy" providers.  We also expect to cover:

  1. Adoption, engagement, and utilization rates for specialty tele and digital health solutions
  2. Relationships with carriers vs. providers - the pluses and minuses for digital health/coordinated care vendors
  3. Unique dynamics in/around the women's health market - e.g., Progeny's fertility benefits model, the importance of RPM and how data are managed, etc.
  4. The evolution of value-based, primary care, and virtual first programs
  5. The "future state" and how long it'll take to get there - can legacy providers compete with newer entrants?

Please send any questions for Leah and Tom to  and we'll work them into the discussion.

About the Speaker

Leah Sparks, CEO & Founder of Wildflower Health, has nearly 20 years of experience building innovative healthcare businesses in both venture-backed companies and Fortune 50 corporations.  Leah founded Wildflower Health in 2012 while starting a family of her own and seeing firsthand the gaps in healthcare for families and the significant opportunity to move the needle on outcomes and medical costs across family health.  Under Leah’s leadership, Wildflower has grown to a company of 100 FTEs delivering digital-enabled care for women and families nationwide, working with health plans covering 50M lives and nearly 150 hospitals.

Prior to starting Wildflower Health, Leah led business development for a personalized medicine startup that was acquired by Medco a few years after she joined the company.  She began her career in healthcare at McKesson Corporation in corporate development, where she focused on strategy and M&A.  During her tenure at McKesson, she held a variety of leadership roles including spearheading the company’s entry into the oncology market.  Leah is a Board member for Rock Health, Inc. and co-chair of the Entrepreneurial Council for HealthTech4Medicaid.
