In this clip from The Call @ Hedgeye, Industrials analyst Jay Van Sciver, Technology analyst Ami Joseph, & Communications analyst Andrew Freedman highlight how the recent Macro call for #Quad1 has affected their sectors, while discussing the recent performance of Caterpillar Inc. (CAT), Netflix, Inc. (NFLX), and Big Cap tech stocks.

“This is the thing that we struggle with. People want the quads to be a simple shortcut to what they wouldn’t ordinarily had, which is a macro timing roadmap,” notes Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough.

“Every cycle is different. Every cycle within the cycle is different. You just look at stocks the way we look at every stock, through the lens of Pod 1 or revenue accelerations and decelerations. A deceleration is a deceleration, if you are trading at 30x revenue and you are talking about decelerating revenue growth, you’re not going to trade at 30x revenue growth anymore.”
