In this morning’s edition of The Macro Show, Hedgeye REIT analyst Rob Simone answers a subscriber question on the reopening, and the stocks he sees the Street missing as a better way to take advantage of the return-to-work.
"As we move into the fall, utilization rates in dense coastal markets are going to tick back up. There are two ways to play the reopening trade. Traditional thinking is to own office-REITs. I think owning apartment-REITs is more interesting. No matter how many days people are in the office, they’re still going to need shelter from which to commute,” explains Simone, as he hits on the cyclical tailwinds for the various subsectors within the REIT space.
