MONDAY, DECEMBER 4:
- HEDGEYE EVENT - INSIDE THE SUPREME COURT: Our Senior Telecom Analyst Paul Glenchur will be inside the Supreme Court today as they hear arguments in the case about State’s rights to regulate sports betting. Stay tuned for more information on a call with our gaming and lodging team.
- Trump will visit Utah, meet with Mormon leaders and is expected to shrink two controversial monuments.
- The Senate will convene at 3:00 PM and proceed to executive session to resume consideration of Kirstjen Nielsen to be Secretary of Homeland Security.
- The House is expected to vote this afternoon to go to Conference Committee with the Senate on tax reform as well as select their conferees.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5:
- Trump is expected to have lunch with Republican Senators.
- The House is expected to vote on the Taylor Force Act which restricts U.S. funding to the Palestinian Authority.
- The House Committee on Rules is holding a hearing on the Continuing Appropriations Act at 2:00 PM.
- The Senate Appropriations Committee is holding a hearing to examine addressing the opioid crisis in America, focusing on prevention, treatment, and recovery at 10:00 AM.
- The Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee is holding a business meeting on S.2155 and the nomination of Jerome H. Powell to be Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System at 10:00 AM.
- The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee will consider nominations at 10:00 AM.
- The Senate Energy and Natural Resource Committee is holding a hearing to examine several bills that update energy policy for 2018 at 2:30 PM.
- The Senate Foreign Relations Committee will hold a hearing on North Korea at 2:30 PM.
- The Senate Intelligence Committee will have a closed briefing at 3:00 PM.
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6:
- Trump will hold a Cabinet meeting.
- Trump is expected to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital in a speech on Wednesday.
- The House Financial Services Committee is holding a hearing entitled “Sustainable Housing Finance: Private Sector Perspectives on Housing Finance Reform, Part IV” at 10:00 AM.
- The House Foreign Affairs Committee will give an update on Brexit negotiations at 2:00 PM.
- The House Committee on Rules will examine the Small Business Mergers Acquisitions Sales and Brokerage Simplification Act of 2017 and the Community Institution Mortgage Relief Act of 2017 at 3:00 PM.
- The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee will consider the nomination for Assistant Secretary of the Army at the Department of Defense at 10:00 AM.
- The Senate Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing to examine firearm accessory regulation and enforcing Federal and state reporting to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) at 10:00 AM.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7:
- The White House will host its Hanukkah party.
