Leading thinker on generations will discuss health care sea changes and investing implications
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NASHVILLE, Tenn., and STAMFORD, Conn. (June 8, 2017) -- Health:Further announced today that renowned historian, economist, and demographer Neil Howe will address its annual Health:Further Festival at the Music City Center in Nashville, TN to be held August 22 – 25, 2017. Howe coined the term “Millennials” and is regarded as a leading authority on generations and social change in America, an acclaimed bestselling author, and highly sought-after speaker.
The Health:Further Festival is an annual gathering which brings together over 2,000 of the brightest minds in healthcare innovation focused on improving the industry and building a healthier, more sustainable future. Howe will open “Investor Day,” delivering insight on the impact of two very important, but very different generations—boomers and millennials—on the health care industry.
“Neil Howe’s extensive work in demographics and deep understanding of generational trends, particularly the rise of millennials, are critical to the conversation around the future of health taking place at Health:Further, said Marcus Whitney, Co-Founder and CEO of Health:Further. “Millennials now represent the largest segment of the US workforce. They will be the driving force in consumer trends across the health landscape.”
Additional speakers at this year’s festival include Greg Glassman, Founder and Chairman of Crossfit; John Bass, Founder & CEO of Hashed Health; Neil Howe, Hedgeye Managing Director of Demography; Mary Mirabelli, Vice President of Global Healthcare Services at Hewlett-Packard; Cyril Philip, Senior Associate at Providence Ventures; Scott Monty, Co-Managing Partner of Brain+Trust Partners; Tatum Allsep, Founder & Executive Director of the Music Health Alliance; Frank Eliason, Partner at Brain + Trust Partners; Neil Patel, President of Healthbox; Jessica Sweeney-Platt, Executive Director of athenaResearch; and Bob Gold, CEO of Gold Group Enterprises.
“Neil is the smartest guy in the room on this subject,” said Emily Evans, Managing Director of Health Care Policy at Hedgeye. “His remarks will set the pace for a daylong exploration of health care investment themes that take into account the impact of demographic change and its ripple effects throughout the health care sector.”
