Investment research firm continues its expansion as 10-year anniversary approaches

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON D.C., and STAMFORD, Conn. (May 31, 2017) -- Hedgeye Risk Management, the independent provider of investment research and online financial media firm, announced today that it has officially opened its new Washington D.C office located in the heart of the nation’s capital. The firm’s expansion follows its acquisition of Potomac Research Group—an independent research firm which provides predictive Washington policy analysis to institutional investors—in January of 2016.

“We are very excited about this new phase in our firm’s evolution,” said Hedgeye Founder and CEO Keith McCullough. “Our new office is in the heart of D.C.—a short walk from the White House, leading policy makers, embassies and think tanks. This was the next logical step in our firm’s growth trajectory, particularly in light of the outsized role Washington policy continues to have on global markets.”

The new D.C office located at 1130 Connecticut Ave NW will be headquarters for Hedgeye Potomac analysts including Lt. Gen Emerson “Emo” Gardner, USMC, Ret. (Aerospace & Defense); JT Taylor (Domestic Policy Analysis); Joe McMonigle (Energy); Paul Glenchur (Telecom & Media); Emily Evans (Healthcare Policy) and Neil Howe (Demography).

The office also features a media studio similar to the firm’s original HedgeyeTV studio in its global headquarters in Stamford, CT.

Hedgeye currently has offices in Boston, Stamford, Washington, D.C. and Dana Point, California.

“We’re obviously thrilled about this new stage of our development,” said JT Taylor. “We‘ve assembled a deep bench of world-class policy analysts. Our team looks forward to giving investors an edge in our ‘Washington to Wall Street’ research for many years to come."

Hedgeye Potomac’s policy analysts are widely-recognized by the industry as leading authorities in their respective fields. Their unique, non-consensus evaluation of federal legislative activities and regulatory and Federal Reserve policies is focused on determining Washington’s impact on highly-regulated industry sectors, including healthcare, defense, energy, technology and telecommunications.
