Takeaway: JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon is reportedly being considered as Donald Trump's Treasury Secretary.

Donald Trump -- the anti-establishment candidate and President-elect -- has repeatedly told voters he wants to "drain the swamp."

Less than 48 hours following his historic win over Hillary Clinton, it is being reported that members of his inner circle have been floating the idea of naming JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon as Treasury Secretary.

According to CNBC:

"In the wake of Donald Trump's upset victory, advisors have floated the idea of naming Jamie Dimon as treasury secretary, according to two people familiar with the matter, but one of them added that the JPMorgan chief has said he would not be interested in the role."

If true, Trump could actually turn out to be a run-of-the-mill, establishment president that most of his supporters voted against.

Some people take it a big step further. “Jamie Dimon should be on a chain gang,” bestselling author Jim Rickards tells Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough in the video above.

Rickards discusses everything from the "London Whale" scandal to Dimon’s basic misunderstanding of normally-distributed risk to an exchange with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo. Bartiromo was defending Dimon and the bank’s profitability. Rickards responded:

“Maria, if you gave me zero cost of funds, underpriced deposit insurance, an unlimited derivatives balance sheet and too-big-to-fail, I could make $20 billion. A monkey could make $20 billion.”
