Glenchur says one hot topic will be political content moderation on social media, especially following the recent advertising controversy on X (formerly Twitter).
“We have the social media cases pending—those are huge,” explains Hedgeye’s Telecom & Media Policy analyst.
“Should they basically be prohibited from de-platforming candidates or discriminating against political views? To the extent the Supreme Court makes—and they will decide in June—about the parameters involving political content moderation, just a few months before the general election, that’s a huge impact on their bottom line.”
