Takeaway: Endowments are underperforming, does the illiquidity premiums still matter in a 5% world? Oh, and Olive.ai

Endowments and pension funds have enjoyed nice returns on their venture and PE portfolios as they can be the most patient of money. Patient money still needs to perform. Unlike your local family office, Harvard has some big bills to pay. As Pitchbook reported this week, investment performance is down at the Ivied Halls.

One factor in VC underperformance, we suspect, is the overreliance on late-stage in anticipation of the IPO pop. To that point Olive.ai, announced last week they were ceasing operations and selling certain assets to Waystar. Not to say we told you so...

We will cover that and more. Please join Marcus and I on Thursday for a fun chat.
