CHART OF THE DAY: Global Shipping Rates Doubled Since December

This chart from today's Early Look by Daryl Jones shows a sharp spike in shipping costs, part of the reason we've been long Bulk Shipping (BDRY) since January 29 (up 6.6%). 

This is just one example of inflation's re-acceleration. Even if today’s PCE number is cooler than more inflated expectations, we still face the issue of what is happening in the real world.
