Takeaway: ONEM has multiple tailwinds heading into 3Q20 earnings print.

OVERVIEW

One Medical trends have been positive into the end of 3Q20 across app downloads, an indicator of membership, and provider additions an indicator of patient volume.  In addition to app downloads and provider counts, we have heard several anecdotes about the very high demand for flu vaccinations so far in 2020.  With a review of the claims by physicians listed in our Provider Tracker, we've corroborated the vaccination trend at One Medical practices.  The incremental volume appears substantial after inflecting at the beginning of September, early enough to have a positive impact on patient volumes.  The trend continues to accelerate and appears likely to continue into 4Q20.  Our takeaway is that fear visiting a medical office has significantly abated for One Medical members.  Consensus revenue estimates appear low based on the app-based member and flu vaccination trend.
