EVENT | ELECTION 2020: Around the States in 50 Days - Election virus guy

Join me for a conversation with JT Taylor, Hedgeye's Chief Political Strategist. Together we will update you on the state of play of the November elections as well as the outlook for a fourth stimulus package on Capitol Hill.

With Election Day close to 50 days away and early voting underway in a number of states, the race for the White House and Congress is on track to be the most divisive and expensive in history. The battleground map has expanded. While Democrats continue to play offense in their effort to turn the map blue, Republicans are trying to build on certain signs that they could be closing the vast support deficit they faced back in late June.

We’ll go over the states you should be watching and the likelihood of the Democrats prevailing--or of the Republicans turning the corner. We’ll look at the changing demographics of the race. We'll examine the challenges facing states that now must hold an election during a pandemic, from transitioning to facilitate mail-in ballots to the herculean task of tabulating them in a compressed time frame. Most worrisome of all: How will the two sides respond to a "no decision" in key states that are too close to call and to partisan warfare over mail-in irregularities? What is the likelihood of such an outcome?

We will be discussing all these topics and more and will also take listener questions. Make sure to tune in on September 15 at 12:30pm EST.
