Hedgeye Managing Director and Health Policy Analyst Emily Evans hosted a deep-dive conversation with Senator William Frist, M.D., the nationally-acclaimed heart and lung transplant surgeon, former U.S. Senate Majority Leader, founding partner of Frist Cressey Ventures and chairman of the Executives Council of the health service investment firm Cressey & Company

Frist has been a leading advocate for telemedicine for many years. The fruits of his labor have become evident recently with changes in Medicare law, relaxation of state Medicaid restrictions and, with the outbreak of COVID-19, the large scale entry of telemedicine into health care.

Telemedicine is now on the cusp of becoming simply—medicine.

Join us as we discuss Sen. Frist's advocacy of telemedicine, the slow embrace of policy makers and the work yet to be done.
