WEEKLY POSITION MONITOR UPDATE

Healthcare analysts Tom Tobin and William McMahon review their best stock ideas, major healthcare themes and more.

On Monday’s Health Care Webcast, we cover:

  • TDOC + LVGO Merger  | We hosted a call to review our positive outlook for the Teladoc + Livongo merger.  As telehealth matures from seeing a doctor online into a broad array of services and technologies, we think scale will matter.  You can’t throw a stone and not hit a digital health company these days or learn a new term, such as SaMD (Software as Medical Device).
  • TXG Marching on its Own  | The consumer is weak, NYC is #depopulating, and the elections are looming are just a few of the concerns the Hedgeye Team covered on our morning call today.  Despite the swirl of uncertainty in the global economy, TXG is marching on its own path.  Single- cell sequencing grant volume and funding continue to accelerate, more institutions and more investigators are adopting the technique, and even though all labs have yet to reopen, the money will be spent.
  • Field Notes on Remote Patient Monitoring  | We spoke to an entrepreneur in the field of remote patient monitoring.  Our takeaway is the devices are commodities and the real value will be captured by the service providers using the data.
