Elective and Planned vs COVID-19 ARDS admissions

The workbook linked below was pulled together with data from the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey.  The table allows the user to change the inputs for infection rate, hospitalization rate, percentage elective, percentage decline in elective, the COVID-19 reimbursement per hospitalized case. An infection rate is 30% with a 10% hospitalization produces a 3% increase in hospital charges.  Elective procedures would have to decline -50% to offset the increase from COVID-19.
