01/31/20 11:01AM EST

After a two-week trial in December and closing arguments in January, the fate of the T-Mobile/Sprint merger rests in the hands of federal judge Victor Marrero.  Although the transaction was approved with regulatory conditions by the Justice Department and the FCC, several state attorneys general sued to block the deal under federal antitrust laws.  Hedgeye's Paul Glenchur, who attended the trial in New York, gives the edge to the carriers in this antitrust battle and discusses his reasoning with Hedgeye's macro policy analyst J.T. Taylor.
