If you’re focused solely on “year-to-date” performance, you’re missing the bigger picture. One of our primary goals is to help our subscribers see the bigger investing picture and ultimately become #FullCycleInvestors.

For example, if you bought the Russell 2000 at its peak in August of 2018, you’re still down around 10%. If you followed our playbook since then, however, and bought things like Utilities (XLU), Gold (GLD) and Treasuries (TLT), you’re comfortably outperforming the S&P 500 on a year-over-year basis.

“We all have issues. But the real issue is if you’re still trying to get back to breakeven, when you could have been making money in the last year,” Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough explains in the clip above.

“The process got us there. But don’t be a pig and think the process will have us panic and get out.”
