Don’t let your emotions mess with your portfolio.

In this clip from The Macro Show, Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough reminds investors to:

  • Stay calm
  • Stick with the process
  • Take advantage of buying opportunities

Case in point, we’re bullish on long-term bonds.

Question: When the 10-year Treasury yield hit a 7-year high in early October, did you freak out and sell bonds?

“When the 10-year was at 3.23%, what did a lot of you feel about being long bonds? You didn’t like it, you were coming at me pretty good, and I appreciate that,” McCullough explains to viewers in the clip above.

“But I didn’t capitulate, I didn’t take your feelings and superimpose them onto my model. I just bought bonds and then I sold some at 3.06 on the 10-year.”

“It’s not about feeling. It’s about measuring and mapping where we are.”
