Our policy analysts previewed outcomes of U.S. Mid-term elections yesterday and isolated two likely scenarios and their consequences:
- Republicans hold on to a slim majority in the Senate and Democrats take the House with a 10-20 seat majority; or
- Republicans pick-up 1-2 seats in the Senate and Democrats take the House
They also considered one low probability but high consequence event:
- Republicans retain control of both Houses
