As a reminder, our process generally involves moving tickers from first-pass ‘Idea Hunt’ to ‘Bench’ to ‘Best Ideas’.
Specifically, each quarter we create a go-shop list of ideas. We dig just deep enough to get the idea to an initial long or short thesis. From there we choose several ideas that deserve deep-dive attention and add them to our ‘Bench’ and ‘Best Ideas List’ as appropriate.
