WASHINGTON WEEK AHEAD + CATALYST CALENDAR - dc policy weekahead

For all the major policy dates and deadlines coming up in Washington, we’re introducing a Catalyst Calendar. We will be updating the calendar as information changes and new dates are put on the books.  You’ll receive updates when the Washington Week Ahead is delivered and will also be able to access the calendar on our website. YOU CAN FIND IT HERE and at the end of today's note.

THIS WEEK:

  • Hurricane Irma - the president is expected to visit Florida as soon as it's safe to be there. Congressional members are expected to be out of town for the first part of the week working on recovery efforts in their home states. Congress has already passed relief funding, but we still expect this storm to headline the week.
  • The House delayed voting on their final Appropriations Bills last week in order to pass President Trump’s deal to extend the debt ceiling and government spending (refresh on the deal here). They are expected to vote on the remaining eight Appropriations Bills this week and send all 12 to the Senate.
